for real.

Clawing for your dream to become real can be a bit exhausting, if it goes on long enough.

But God knows, you definitely have to go after what you want in full force if you’re seriously determined to make it real.

In order for most of us to claim our deepest desires:

to lose fat once and for all,

to cruise to a six-figure income,

to hold the keys to your beach house,

to finally caress the hand of your everlasting mate,

we need to start acting more like a kid instead of a pissed-off, overwhelmed, confused,

and irritated grown-up.

Once you decide you are READY to acquire that dream,

the activity that must consume your “efforts” is playing

MAKE BELIEVE.

Use every pocket of me-time: when you’re in the shower, on the toilet,

driving,

or right before bed

to daydream VIVIDLY!

What’s new in your wardrobe when you’re 10 pounds lighter?

How does it feel to look at your bank statements after you’ve easily paid your credit card bill and sent extra money to your investment accounts?

Describe the kitchen and bathroom in your beach house.

What does your everlasting love say to you on Sunday morning?

Daydream the questions.

The answers become your vision.

Then PRETEND.

Feel that darn dream as if it’s real right now. And feel it again tonight. And feel it again in the car. And again when you take the dog for a walk. And again tomorrow.

Act like it’s real.

Eat the foods someone 10 pounds lighter would eat.

Send money to your nieces every month.

Go to HomeDepot and select the cabinets and tiles you’re gonna use for the kitchen remodel in your beach house.

Wake up feeling that you’re seen and loved.

Actively MAKE BELIEVE your dream is real RIGHT NOW.

And like a crazy adult or a creative child, boldly PRETEND you are living your dream every single day without cease.

Pretty soon, really,

pretty soon,

you will live it

for real.

I’m addicted.

I’m a junkie. I study like a freak. I devour programs on self-growth, energy healing, spiritual principles, bodywise information.

I don’t need to go back to school again–ever. There’re teachers offering brilliant stuff online that really digs deep intellectually. Lisa Nichols. Anne Lamott. Danielle LaPorte. Tony Robbins. Brendon Burchard (Imma take a breath…)

I am addicted.

And here’s the problem: when I find myself stuck in somebody’s

virtual classroom more than I’m out in the world actually using my education,

then being a life-long “studier” becomes a blanket to hide under.

Sometimes life-long students need to close the books and get wise by doing.

Me. Now.

Solve the problem. An interview.

I am a transformational coach and fitness trainer which means I will give clients healthful tools, exercises, and processes that they can use for an eternity.
But here is MY exception: One must be willing and ready to step into one’s strength
with the courage to move past the subconscious limitations.

Strength, power, and courage cannot be given.
It is something we realize.

If you are not ready for the change and improvement that I will help you facilitate,
if you are afraid of moving more than a 5 pound weight at any point in your program,
if you do not wish to see yourself expand, if you complain a LOT, and if you are not ready to look deeper at your personal possibilities and move toward your greatest self, I am not your trainer.

But if you are interested in a steady, safe, and strong progression toward the person you desire to be, and if you have more courage you wish to express,
and if you believe life is worth living to the fullest, I think we are a great match!

And if not, I truly believe you probably will keep feeling exactly how you feel, and you will never be able to have the body or life you desire.

You must BELIEVE and BEHAVE like you’re worth your transformation before it can actually happen.

You are more than your BODy.

You are your beliefs.

So here I am, teaching a studio full of exercise birdies of all ages, sizes, and characters who have just finished pumping out 60 push-ups on tippy-toe in sets of 20.

Grumbling and moaning low, they sprawl into positions that might indicate the end of class.

That’s when I speak out…

“We’re doing 60 more.

You might be tired, now.  Really.

Your arms might be sore, or maybe you feel like the breathing is seriously tough because you can’t stop choking down the discomfort of burning triceps and shoulders.

But guess what?
I don’t care.

I don’t care how your BODy feels.
I don’t care.

You are more than a BODy.

So, let’s go.
3 more sets of 20 push-ups!”

You are your beliefs, not your BODy.
The thing is, discomfort freaks us out.
We avoid it like a pothole.
But just so you CAN get some perspective: the discomfort we feel after a series of push-ups or any challenging exercise only lasts about 30 frickn seconds!

The discomfort from heartburn after eating a Big Mac and super fries, from the top of your jeans tattooing a red gash into your belly, or your doc snarling  and sighing before she hands you your blood work report is discomfort that lasts much longer!!

So get comfortable and start believing that you CAN make strong, impactful, healthy choices for your thriving self!

Believe you are the one who happily smacks the Mikey D bag of sugar and grease to the curb.

Believe that you are the one who spins and turns your world on with your smile then does a Mary Tyler Moore fling of your blood work report into the air.

Believe you are the one who CAN complete 120 push ups.

Believe you CAN, you fine and fit thang!

You are MORE than your BOD.
You are your beliefs.

What do you believe you CAN do, be, or have in 2015?
